I've been saving up to buy suspension, and now that I have enough, I have narrowed it down to two...
Kyb AGX's or Tokico D-Spec's
I priced them both at gravana and the agx's are just a little cheaper. i want to know you guys opinions on which are better struts. i have heard good things about both, but i just want to compare the two.
also, they will be lowered w/ s. tech's
thanx

You've seen my drop! I'm on S-techs and AGX
All I can say is that I'm a picky guy when it comes to ride and the AGX's are nice at 4rear and 1front on Atlanta roads! Atlanta roads are pretty smoothe but we have alot of random huge dips that usually make the car bounce bad, but the AGX's stroll right through them. I know that's no good analysis on your ? and all but I'll just add to the pile of "good things heard" about the AGX's!
N2O + Bolt-ons
= 220Hp/

Coming Soon:HpTunersPro, EagleConnectingRods, WiescoPistons, 13sec2200
I'm in the same boat as you on which to buy. I know they are both good, AGX's will not warranty struts on anything lower then a 1.5" drop, no idea about the D-Specs
D-Specs are a superior strut - but it's your choice. Personally I love mine, no complaints whatsoever. And they're on sportlines which are even lower than your springs.

the s techs are 1.5 front and 1.7 rear...so the AGX's will only be on warranty in the front? does anyone know any warranty details on the dspecs?
i think at this point i will just see where i can get the best deal

i believe its the same as konis. theres no set limit on the strut as long as you dont abuse them. if i were you id just buy the dspecs
plus, i heard d specs are direct fit.
correct me if i'm wrong.
peace////
so are agx. the only struts that arent are konis because koni only supplies front inserts
That drop with the Tokico on S-Tech's will not be a even drop...just so you know.
The rear will not go down more that 3/4 of a inch...
If your lookin for a even drop...this aint for you!
oh yeah and its 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the rear.....not trying to be a smart ass just letting you know so when you put them on you'll know why the rear is higher than the front.

why you say it like that? if the dspecs are gonna make me higher in the rear, what makes the agx's give me a level drop?

it's not the struts that are giving the uneven drop. it's the springs. struts just regulate how fast or how slow the suspension travels up and down. springs are for the ride height on the car.
I have Goldline springs on D-Specs. Goldlines will give you the even drop you're looking for.

IDK, but it does....and doesnt look good at all, You wont like it, it makes you look like a dragster....If thats your thing though...youll be fine.
too bad those pics dont work. well i dont wanna take the chance of an uneven drop w/ the dspecs...guess i'll go w/ the agx's. it looks like jamal's turned out just fine w. em

i know its the damn springs that make the drop, but i've never heard of the s.techs causing an uneven drop before, thats y i was like wtf. the s.techs are not too low, and they are good springs, thats y i want them. until now, i've never heard of them being and uneven drop.
freq - how low are the goldlines?
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
I think the goldlines are 1.7 ft and 2.3 rear...I believe.
Marchi1 - on here is the real expert, he can tell you why or why not the Tokico D-Spec with the Tein S-tech is not a good drop...
I'm suprised he has not been here already to sound off on them.

s-techs are 1.7" drop and the h-techs are 1.1" drop
Goldlines are 1.7" all around. I have an even drop on my Cav. I'll try to get a pic sometime this weekend.

like this...
the main reason i decided on stech's a while back is b/c they're quality springs, but the goldlines don't look too bad, i might have to shop around some more i guess

^^ True dat.......its the sportlines that are 1.7 F/2.3 R. IMO the perfect drop!
Ill make a sig someday
...but how well do they ride? i dont want it to be too low and the ride be crap. i want good springs that will last a long time with a good set of shocks.
