i know im probably going to sound really stupid in saying this, but here it goes... what is the difference in coilovers and the stock suspension in my car? i just ordered some coilovers from e-bay and they look so small! is there any way i could install them myself, or would it be better if i payed someone to do it? ohh yeah... my car is a 1998 cavalier Z24. THANKS!

u got junk dude.. aparently u havent read the Suspension FAQ.. bout 99% of the ebay coilovers are junk.. that 1% that is good is normally companys selling quality coilovers with slight discount .. lemme guess u paid around $100 shipped for em right? There junk.. not to mention u should be buying lowering struts as well.. not just putting coilovers on stock struts...

They arent junk... just not a high dime quality piece...

I rocked a set of those on koni reds for a long time, actually they are makign their way through sinister J's....

if you get good shocks and struts with those they wont TOTALLY suck.. but they will be bouncy as all hell on stock stuff... with the right shocks and struts and NOT slammed you will be fine

no its still not good even on quality struts. those springs that are on the generic coilovers have ridiciously high spring rates which our cars cant handle. throw them on some quality struts and yes it will be better than throwing them on stock struts but its still gonna be a rough ride. its going to be harsh and stiff.
