Ok I have read the info about the neon disk swap for the rear brakes and i also went on the willwood site and i happen to notice that one site said the willwood rear brake kit for 95-02 sunfire will be out in 05 and i never saw them on the site!! Now does anyone know if they have started to make the kit and were i can find it? And does anyone who has the front brake kit done, is it worth it and how much does it run??

which site did you see this in?
willwood never made the rear kit just the front
and they said they havent sold enough of the fronts to justify the rears
i love my fronts
how much was the front kit?
^search for it on goolge or click on one of the advertising links staring at you in the face while your on this site. (carcustoms.net)
Ok i found this from the home page of jbody if you scroll down to the willwood brakes and then in there i found this statement
"The 12-inch, 4-piston caliper front brake upgrade is in production and Wilwood estimates that the 12-inch disc rear-brake conversion for the J-Body should be available by summer 2005."

I called Wilwood about a year ago on the rear kit that is on Chad's car. I asked them for a parts list of what they used and I would make my own brackets. Even though they did the prototype work, they didn't keep any of the information. They also said what 97trd said several times already, there just isn't enough interest for them to make it. I can't really see them making it for a discontinued platform.
The only other way to do this is to take Jim to take the rear brakes off of Chad's car and duplicate the brackets and go to the catalog and find the parts that they used. Again, there isn't enough interest in the kit for all that work.
BTW, this comes from a owner that has Wilwoods already

wheres my boost??
hell the ONLY reason I wont buy wilwood is BECAUSE there is no rear, come on big rotors up front and stock drums in the back.... no thanks. if they made a rear kit I'd buy them over anyone else. But I don't want mixed brands front and rear
The last time I was in contact with Wilwood, I had inquired about the rear brakes on Chad's car....which was the Gravana/Motegi demo car at the time, I was told that it was only a prototype and had no e-brake brake. Not sure if that's true till now.
I have the fronts as well and they are awesome. As for the rear, I made my own custom wilwood setup.
hey flip do you have picts of the rear setup you did then?

Exactly man, im right with you on that..
Now that Baer no longer makes 12" FRONTS for our cars anymore, only 13".. I ordered my 12" fronts on Jan 11th, just got an email saying they no longer make 12" fronts.. I guess I have to upgrade to 13" which I really dont want to because of track reasons... But since there is VERY limited rear conversion options for our cars.. Seems that Bear and SSBC are the only choices left..

I am using SSBC rear discs with my Wilwood fronts. My only complaint is the ebrake doesn't work very well.

i read what you said. and then someone else posted that they had made a rear kit for one car so i responded saying well if they allready did all the prototyping work then all the hard work was done, then all you do is produce a kit when one was ordered. i completly understood what you posted about but making one from scratch to fill an order i can understand them not seeing the worth of it. but if they had allrady done a prototype then all the hardwork is done. ive seen 3-4 posts in the last few months of people who would love the rears but went with other kits because they dont make rears. with the people in here who allrady have the fronts and im sure they could have easily paid for the work they had allready put into it.

Here's My question. What is the minimum wheel size for the wilwood kit?
