i am piecing together an airride system and for the four corner switches i want to use the switches out of a 4 door for the power windows. anyone know how i can get the markings off of the switches so they dont have the little pics of windows on them?
light sanding and paint them. or try some acetone or something like that to wipe the window markings off.
maybe some aircraft stripper
but be careful as it can really do a number
or just buy those type of air ride switches. those are the type that come w/ the easystreet kit.
thanks eazy i was thinking of using a chemical but i was drawing a blank on a name. ill try acetone and if it doesnt do what i want it to i will have to sand and paint.

maybe i should have been more specific. i am going to use the switches for power windows from a 4 door that will replace the storage bin n my center console because i dont have/want power windows.
example
use the window lock as all up/down...that would be sweet
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
that'd be a sweet set-up..
im waiting to get the switches in the mail to play with them. i was thinking of doing some creative wiring to use the window lock as a switch to change the functions of the other switches. so each switch would do a corner and then with the window lock the switches would be for front back and side to side. gonna take some planning and maybe a relay or a few but hopefilly it works like i want it to.
here's what I've always wanted to do (but having a 4door with power windows, I'd have to relocate my main window control).
For a 2 or 4 door with no power windows:
Take the 4 door window switch, and either do 4 corners, (like you want) with the compressor on the window lock. This way you can turn the compressor off, if you don't want it to kick on randomly.
For a 2 Door with power windows:
replace the 2 button window control with a 4 door panel. Then take the front two for windows, rear two for front up/down rear up/down. Window lock for Compressor.
But its your car, your call. Those were just my ideas.
...
thanks fo rthe idea. if mine proves to be too much trouble i will probably do that. i was planning on having a switch for the compressor anyway.
