Here is a thought and you give your opinion
What if you took a piece of aluminum or stainless, cut it in a 16 inch diameter (I have 17 inch rims) and placed it between the rim and brake.
1) To try and eliminate brake dust
2) To hide brake drums and smaller discs
3) To add a different look
well it would add some space between the wheesl and the drum. that would be my only concern, other than, if it is your taste go for it.
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
If it is a flat plate with out any openings it will help cut down on brake dust. And if it they are polished they would look good. There use to be kits sold for Mercedes that did just what you are talking about. They fit within 1/8" of the inside of the rims.So you know they do block off some of the air flow around the rotors and calipers. Not the best solution if you work your brakes hard. If the plates are out of true in relationship to the hub and wheel you may have vibration and shimmy also. Not trying to tell you what to do just stuff you should consider.
Thats Him Officer The WICKED One.
I am just trying to get a feed back if it will work and if it would look good. Be honest and open. I am not sure I am doing it. Looking for ideas and thoughts
I believe JCwhitney has those for sale if you want to avoid making them yourself. I think they were $35-$45 for a set.

I think they look ok on larger wheeled hoopdies like a 300m....cavalier maybe not so much. I do know that everycar that uses those wheel shields has brake problems afterwards. You are cutting your air circulation to the rotor, so they will get a lot hotter, and warp much sooner. Especially with how thin ours are.
could you maybe post some pics if you end up doing it? thanks
