I am curious if anyone has any info or comments about these shocks. I have heard that Tokico D spec shocks are good to use but I just wanted to see if anyone had a set of these ones. I have heard that some shocks and struts do not fit with stock 16" rims. Any thoughts?

I had a set of HP shocks and struts on B&G springs for 1.5 years without problems. They held up great and worked fine. I would go with D-specs before HPs but if funds are tight, like they were with me, the HPs arent bad.
I am running the HPs..And I really like them so far..My buddy has the Dspecs and the ride is about the same..A little stiffer in his car because you can adjust them to what you want..But I think when my HPs need to be replaced I will use them again..The Dspecs are great if you are racing the car but for everday purpose I think you will like them..
Hate to break it to you but HP struts are not just a factory replacment...After speaking with tokico on lots of ocasions they told me that the hp is same insides as the Dspec but without the adjustment....A factory replacment would be a KYB which does not ride very well and I have been in a car with the KYB on drop coils and it was just like factory..Where the HP is a stiffer ride...And tokico also told me as long as the Bump stops were cut they would warranty a 1.8 inch drop.....And that was after 5 or so phone calls to them..But to each there own...

News to me as well, but that would certainly explain why Tokico sells a 1.4" lowering kit that includes them, as
seen here.

thanks for the info, my funds are pretty tight and I really have no interest in the adjustable shocks yet. Maybe one day when the car is only for comp shows and track racing I will buy some adjustable ones. Thanks again
