ok i have a problem with my steering. when im driving straight and holding the steering wheel straight the wheels will start to wonder. like it will jerk to the left or right while im driving straight. i changed the tie rod ends yesterday and it still does it. my cava only got 40,000 miles on it. and the only thing ive done to suspension is c arm bushings and rims. Im at a total loss. ive check the ball joints and wheel bearings. i hate to take it to a shop were they want 80 bucks an hr to just find out wants wrong. any one have any ideas. thanks
did you get an alignment after the the control arm bushings or the tie rods?
Yeah, have you had an alignment done?

yea theres just so much play in it. it feels like the theres something lose but there aint.
okay, but did you get an alignment? cause if your tires are pointed with toe out, like this
\ / then it will do just what you described. if you got an alignment and its still doing that take it back and tell them hey car is doing this now. and get a print out out the before and after. it may not be enough for you to eyeball it, mine needed very little adjustment, but it does make a difference.
cinny yes i had an alignment done right after everything, and well today i got the car on a lift and the first thing we noticed was the one bolt for the lower engine mount was loose like we unscrewed it by hand. so we tightn that up and it took away a lot of the steering problem and then we noticed that the bigger poly bushing on the driver side was riped so it looks like i'll be order another set from ttr and hopefully that fixes the problem. We checked everything while it was on the lift., and nothing else was loose/broke. But it looks like i may need to get a new lower engine mount too cuz it was pretty worn.
Is there a Hard pulling or any kind of vibraition felt in either the steering wheel or throughout the body of the car when you are driving. Or is it just that you need to make a lot of corrections while driving? What sized rim and tire do you have on the car? And what kind of tire is it?
You said you changed the tie rod ends, did you check for looseness or play on the inner rods.
