A friend of mine has a 98 Cavalier that i'm trying to figure out a problem for him. He says that as he depresses the brake pedal he hears a clicking which he thinks is coming from down near the brake pedal. It only happens when he is braking, and the car is in drive. All of the lights (brake lights, blinkers, headlights) all work. From what he described it sounds like a relay of some sort. Any ideas?
abs perhaps?
14.82 @ 97 mph
Single click, or recurring clicks? If recurring, is the rate affected by car speed? Does pedal pressure affect the likelihood or loudness of the click?

sounds like the brake switch, mine has done it since I owned my car.
