I was wondering if anyone that has one thinks it stiffen the car up enough to make a noticeable difference. Also i was checkin out ebay and saw a couple of floor braces do they actually make them for the j's?

I bought a vibrant rear strut tower brace and I definatly noticed the difference. I would buy one again. I don't know anything about this floorbrace you mention though.

they do make floor braces but i dont think they do much. the strut bar you may notice a difference
with strut bars, especially the rear its hit or miss weather or not you think they help. it depends on how 'feely' you are with your car, and if you adjust them correctly.

for daily driving it's ok. round abouts are awesome. for auto-x, it is a must have. i've got a "budget" (no expensive) rear strut bar that was sold on ebay. works great.

I got mine from a member here on the board! But I think you can get one from RK sport or turbo tech racing
The floor brace is another critical component to balance out the chassis bracing.
With the front strut bar, subframe brace, and a rear strut bar, that kind of leaves the middle being the weak link in the setup.
That's a floor brace and again something that is needed to have a complete package.
This is quoted by UltraRacing Chassis, "It is the bar linking both the B-Pillars within the passenger compartment. The effect of room bar is particularly obvious for a four-door sedan. This is because four-door sedan has a longer body than the hatch-back or coupe, the chassis is by nature weaker than the later two.".
Here is their technical page giving some insight on what they sell and how the parts work.

The Vibrant front/rear combo has always been a popular choice. Plus they are really in-expensive

They do make a universal floor bar that you can buy from E-bay.
I plan on buying this in the very near future and see how it does for the car.
From the couple of friends that have them on their car, they say they like it and makes a difference in the feel of the chassis.
They're 60-80 bucks depending on where you buy them.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
I've had those floor bars.
All they really do is make it tough for rear passengers to sit comfortably.
Unless you can geto ne for $20 or less.
Save your money.
