I guess power steering issues can go into the suspension and brake forum.
But any way...Last week the clutch went out in my 2000 cavalier. So while I was that far I replaced the rack & Pinion (Steering gear) with Auto Zone's rebuilt ones. Today I made a 360 deg. turn and herd a shhhhhhhh sound and lost the steering assist. So I raised the front back up and looked at everything again. The pump is full of fluid, no lines are leaking or pinched. So my next thoughts or Auto Zone's sells junk reman Rack and pinions, or a bad pump. Is their a way to test The power steering pump pressure? Thanks anyone that can help.
Did you bleed it when you installed it?
