i seem to think that this problem should go into suspension section...earlier today i went through a muddy MMR because i didnt want to go around 3 miles...i went through it just fine and my car was pretty much..when i was driving slow it was shaking kind of hard doing like 40...but then i washed under the fender wells and did a pretty good job on washing the mud out...do i do about 45 and you nothing was bad...then when i pass 55 mph the car starts shaking horribly like the wheels are going to fall off. i was just driving it at night and it shakes so bad i see double when i look at the guage lights and one of my vents fell out and everything was flying everywhere...was it to do with goin through the mud...could there be mud stuck on in there because around the springs i cleared all of the thick mud around and its still shaking...what could it be??
I'm not sure what a muddy MMR is but take off the wheels and clean the inside of the rim. I see it quite a bit at work people complaining about vibration at speeds from snow freezing on the inside of rims throwing them out of balance. If that doesn't take car of it make sure theres no broken belts in the tire or bubbles on the sidewall, if all is well get them balanced.
check the inside of your wheels, i know that can happen with slush/ice build-up. it throws the balance of on the whole wheel/tire assembly
alright i think i will take off the tires and clean them and everything around it...i know there isnt anything wrong with the tires because i just put new ones on and got them balanced...it may of thrown them out of balance though
thanks for your help
It may have knocked off a wheel weight. If you get them totally clean and it still happens, get them rebalanced.

thats what i was thinking
alright i checked my wheels and wasnt a whole lot of mud but i cleaned them off anyways and now my car goes freely down the rode and it doesnt shake anymore just like it supposed to be..thanks for the info...
from what i can see, (not tryin to be a smart ass) but i dont know how to properly clean your car. now ive only owned fords and i have a '00 cav now, but the cav has more rust under it then my old 92 crown vic. i go through the mud every now and then just to have fun and get it dirty, when u go through the mud u must take a garden hose or somethin of the sort to clean under the car. dont go through a car wash cuz it dont help, the under side of all GM cars and trucks rust out in the worst way. and yes cleaning the inside of the tire will help but dont forget to clean the brakes, get mud stuck in them is hell to clean out, trust me, but sometimes u gotta actually get under the car to clean it mud hides in places most people dont even know exist. so do yourself a favor and get under the car with a hose and spend some time cleanin under the car.
what is a muddy mmr? muddy muddy-muddy-road? can't figure it out
