** LOWER MOTOR MOUNT Noise**

Hey guys, i just finished installing the lower and upper motor mount, no biggie. HOWEVER, after i installed the lower motor mount i went ahead and turn the car on...and it feels like its extra tight...now, the engine has a weird deeper sound and it basically feels like the engine vibrations as being transferred to the whole car....is that "normal"?? should i lossen up the nuts again and re-tighten them?

pleas help.

thanks

that is 100% normal.

Think of it this way. Try jumping on a trampoline (rubber mounts) and have someone put their ear on the metal bar surrounding the tarp. They wont hear much impact noise of you jumping, since there is so much more give to the surface they are jumping on.

Now take a metal box (rigid mounts) and jump on the box while someone is holding their ear up to it, it will be much louder, and carry much more vibration.

You are using a much more solid setup now, there is direct transfer of vibration from the mounts to your car.
