Where did you get your SS brakelines? I'm looking for some for my car. Who has the best price on them? I know TTR has them for $99, but who else, or better price? Thanks

I hate being the guy that says this... but there are some on eBay for around $65...

Personally I'd never trust my life on eBay no name brake parts though... Not suggesting you would either... just throwing that out there though.

Sorry.

I've got some cheap ones from eBay. They've been fine for the past 6 months or so, but I was expecting more of a difference in pedal feel. I don't know if a better set would have made a difference.

I bought mine about 4 or so months ago, and he gave me a hell of a deal on some parts. And I got them like 2 days later. I have still only installed the fronts, but I love it, nice and stiff can't wait to have time to do the rear.

What SS brake lines do is make your brake pedal feel firm and at the same time brake reaction times will be quicker as the lines will not expand outward as with the stock rubber ones. After repeated stops, you'll notice the difference even more. In short, the brakes will be now "touchy."

Does anybody know if RKS still sells theirs?

I have heard of Goodridge lines. Project Car Tuner has used them on there J-Body build. They listed the price as $149 for a full set.

I've had the RKSport stainless brake lines for about 4+ years.
They've held up well and still look good to this day.
Here is the rear setup after 4+ years.

The fronts.

I've been very pleased with the setup I've had and have had to make some serious emergency stops that I personally would say the stock setup would've failed me.
The brakes have never faded with hard stops and pedal feel is great and easy to modulate.
I'll say this, I've never had to brake hard enough to evoke the ABS into action. That's how good they are.

Good to know they are sturdy. By any chance would you know who makes it for them?

Those RK lines look EXACTLY like the ones I got from Pat (stopitbrakes) back when he was doing the GP's. I think he was stocking centric parts, but I can't be sure those are made by them.

I don't know if you can necessarily make judgement based on looks in this case. I'm not thrilled with my cheapies, and they look pretty reasonable.

looking at that last picture posted there i can tell you it looks like the Russell have a lot better mounting base to the front caliper for sure than those.

so the rk soprt ones are for the front and the jegs and summit link are for a sent of 4?

Cavalier2000, the RKSports come in both the front and the rears.
They had a special on them in which I got all 4 brake lines for less than a bill.
Every now and then, RK has some good deals but you have to look for them.
