anyone have these on their cavy?
how do you like them? any complaints? do you recomend them? what struts are you running with them?
do you have any photos of your car with these on? (any before and after pics maybe?)
I really don't like the huge gap in the rear of my Z24... how the back sits so much higher than the front. I was just wondering how this kit looks on a Cavy... i don't want a lowrider where i will bottom out on speedbumps... i just want a little more sporty look, get rid of the big wheel well gaps, but still keep a practical height and good ride... It sounds like alot of people like these, but hoped for some direct input and photos from people with first hand experience.

there ok springs. you could probably use agxs on them but i dont know if those springs tend to sag. agxs are only warrantied up to a 1.5" drop but a 1.6" should be ok to handle them. if they do blow though, you'll have a hard time getting them to honor your warranty. if your just looking to lose some wheel gap, the eibach prokit is a really good kit and lowers pretty good. its a 1.4" drop and the agx struts work perfectly with them. check out the members section and you can search for whatever springs you like to see.
how are the AGX's as far as ride and performance goes?
how much more $$ are the Eibach 1.4's? I found a good deal on a set of the b-g's which is why i was asking about them.
could i do the b-g and a coil spacer to bring it up to 1.5"? and then be safe with the AGX?
i see in the suspension FAQ here they list the AGX as a "oem" strut, and not really a drop strut...
If i am going to replace parts, i want to upgrade... not stay stock. but then again this is just for looks on my daily driver... so i also am not looking to drop $1000 just to get rid of some wheel well gap...
so i need to get my moneys worth, or it isnt worth doing and i will just keep it stock. (atleast till i actually need struts then i may re-consider)

i dont know the price on the prokits but you could probably find a decent used set for like 100-150 bucks.
coil spacer? no
agxs are not an oem strut. the gr2 is the oem strut that kyb makes. kybs agx strut is a lowering strut and externally damping, meaning you can adjust the softness or hardness of the strut.
I have a lead on a set of the b-g's brand new still in package from a guy here who bought them and didnt use them... he wants $100 for them.... i thought it was worth looking into.
so the AGX is a pretty good strut? i just noticed they are ALOT cheaper than many of the others... so thought maybe they were not-so-great.

make sure your looking at the right thing. agx struts are probably around 350-400 and they are red in color. kyb also makes gr2s which are grey and they are only about 200 or so. tokico hps (are blues as their know) are blue and are abour 250-300.
the gr2s and hps are oem replacements. alot of people say the hps are able to handle a 1.5" drop but i still see them as an oem strut.
the more expesive struts are koni yellows (which are yellow) are about 550 and tokico dspecs (which are silver) are about the same price.
i have B&G's. I like them! i havent had any other springs so i cant compared them through personal experience... also, unfortunately i have stock shocks so my ride isnt all the best anymore, but it was real nice IMO before my shocks started to wear.
here are some of my pics:
stock tires (as it sits from now on
)
with my old rims (aaahh, the good old days)
the only "bad" thing that im experiencing is due to my worn shocks and hangin catalic conv.
so what exactly happens if you put lowering springs on stock struts? ride just goes to hell? or it will work until they blow up one day? or what?

also, the pics with the wheels were right after lowering it so the springs weren't "broken in" at that point
very nice mike... what shock/struts did you go with for them?

they will hold out for say a month then they will blow and you will bottom out every where. not only that but you will run the risk of damaging other suspension parts. then you have to take more time out and replace the struts and pay for another alignment. better to just do it all at once then cheap out.
thats not completely true...
they may last a month, they could last as long as a year before they "blow" my shocks arent like they used to be, but they're not completely blown. i dont bottom our everywhere, just speed bumps and thats mainly due to my low hanging exhaust.
but yeah, if i had the money i wouldve done some shocks and springs that the same time. i was planning on getting shocks a little after the springs as i continued to work on my car. but now ive stopped and im just driving it till it dies and i cant fix it.
all in all... you can ride around on stock shocks with lowering springs. they could last only a month or two or even longer. either way, its not the best option or way to go.

i can more than likely say they are blown. if you take them off your car and remove the springs from them. i bet they wont rebound back after you push it down.
just stock struts...not reccomended...been there for like 3 summers...blown a couple rears no fronts. rides like a frozen board though they are coming out before the car comes out of storage and eitherfull coilovers or air ride going in
