Eibach pro-kit spring rates
Monday, July 14, 2008 7:03 AM
I have been looking around for the spring rate of the eibach pro-kit springs and can't really find a clear answer. From what I have seen on other cars they appear to be around 300. I know they are a progressive spring but am wondering if anyone knows their actual spring rate?

Progressive = no "spring rate". The rate will be different depending on how compressed they are...
Basically, Pro-kit should be a little stiffer than stock, maybe 25% or so.

Putting it that way will make it confusing to people who don't understand spring rates. Even progressive springs have rates. The 1st inch of compression is XXXlbs/in, the 2nd is XXXlbs/in, etc, etc. Most progressive spring rates are listed like this- XXX to XXXlbs/in, the first number being the weight required to begin compression, and the second number being the highest rate the spring will react to.

Thats what I thought...just wondering what the range is for these springs? I thought it was around 300 at the lower range, but thats just from looking at this kit for other cars.
