New Frt EZ Street struts any problems.
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 5:19 AM
Ok u all know that the new Ez street frt struts are now sleved bags and they sit 1" taller than the old ones, I was told that they take more pressure to raise the frt than they use to. so any one with the new frt struts installed have u had any problems getting ur frt end up at all?
and how much pressure do u run in the new frt bags. i know with my old frt struts i would run 35 psi in the frt all the time.

no probz here cept the stupid kerplop sound it makes when the sleeve straightens out. i really hate that. but ill say this for certain, i like the ride better. it seems alot more stable when you're running over bush roads. i run 60 in the front with 5 clicks on the dampener and its as good as stock to me, no bounce at all, and no noise like the rears. and 60 seems to be about level with the rear at 45 which is what i like. hope that helps! the 1" raise really sucked.

yea i know the 1" raise suck but its would be good for my cause my body kit is low as it is so i wont have to worry about it smashing the ground, so 60 and 45 is what u ride at and there was np with rasing the frt, thats what i like to here, cause a buddy has sleeves in his accord and he tells me it takes alot of pressure to rasie the frt but than again his car is heavyer than a cav. i know that stupid kerplop sound gets annoying after awhile, thansk for the
info.

it does take alot to get the front sleeve to pop out, but after that you can lower it back down. i have to have atleast 100psi to get it up and then lower it back down. but i have reducers comming from my valves to balance it out. my all up switch raises all 4 corners equally so i dont have to constantly adjust it. took forever to balance it out like that.

oh and its 100psi tank side, not in the sleeves. if i have less than that, ie 75 or so, its like it freezes and doesnt want to pop up. but at 100psi in the tank, 2 good clicks on the switcher and its up around 55 popped.

do you have the new style fronts? any complaints on your side if you do?

yea i have the new sturts i jsut really hate how they put the stupid air fitting at the top of the strut and out the side, i'm just worry that i didnt leave a eoungh slack in the line to move when turing or it might rub on the tire, how did u guys run ur lines to the frt bags (new style).
my old bags use to take some amount of press to go up but than again i'm running 11 gallons for air and 200 psi in the tanks.

commin off the bag i have a 90 swivel and a 90 degree union right where its low enough to cut across into the fender liner. that way it can move however it feels. as far as from the back to the front, on one side i ran it through the brake line assembly, those little plastic clips in the under body that the brake lines go through. on the other side i drilled small holes through the bottom of my side skirt and put zip ties for the lines. seems to be working out ok right now. nothing hangs and plenty of movement is available without alot of slack.

hope that helps!
