I'm finally completely satisfied with my suspension. In the past, i've had stock springs, eibach sportlines, and B&G springs, all on koni yellows or koni reds. The B&Gs and especially the sportlines were very jarring over bumps (i live in PA BTW). Over transitions (small/quick hills, dull bumps), they were especially horrible. The teins blow them all away in terms of balance of ride quality and control.
Simply put, there is almost no harshness with this set up over bumps and transitions. They are almost better over bumps than the stock springs. This is of course with the konis on full soft. Plus with the OEM mounts, its so quiet - it doesn't sound like it's going to fall apart like with stock mounts. I really wanted Road Magnets for their supposed ride quality, but I cannot imagine they would have been much better than these.
Pics coming soon in the P&M section
The OEM mounts are very nice, I only had one small issue and that was I had to add a few washers for the shaft of the strut because there was about a half inch play between the mount and the shaft when fully tightened.

Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...

if you're talking about the rears, i used poly below and above the actual mount and torqued it down. It took up the slack that your talking about and keeps things very quiet.
You ain't lying about the B&G's being stiff. I can't hardly push down on my trunk.
Do you have pics of the poly you put on?
I can't believe i never thought to do that with my sportlines when they made all that noise.

The poly was actually placed directly above and below the mount on the strut shaft - its just a round piece similar to a sway bar bushing. It avoids the metal on metal. OEM actually provides a big ass piece of poly to isolate the spring from the rear mount
So are these the solid mounts from OEM or the rotational bearing that you used??
Solid mounts from OEM front and rear. The OEM front mount is designed to be used with the factory 95-99 front strut mount rotaional bearing, bearing seat and spring isolator. The top plate of the OEM front mount has a spherical bearing to allow the necessary movement of the strut shaft (torsional), as it moves up and down, because the control arm moves on an angle obviously. That's how i understand it anyways...
will they work with 00+ front strut mounts? Im upgrading to dspecs and tokico advises that the purchaser should (if they have a 99 or older jbody) buy 00+ struts mounts to work with their struts. So these OEM solid mounts make that much difference?? My cavalier sticks to the ground great, but the ride isnt very nice, especially in the back.
They do not work with the 2000+ front strut mounts. You need the bearing and bearing plate from the pre-99 mounts.
Contrary to what I originally though, these really quite down the suspension over bumps especially if your factory mounts are worn. I'm sure there is a handling benefit as well, but i don't push the car enough every day to notice. Plus, they are virtually indestructable
Well it looks really good on your cav! But from the pictures from OEM they look like complete metal, no rubber for the fronts, and i thought it would make the ride more rigid. Definately have to look into these, hope my rear end doesnt sit to high after this.
Also have any pics of under the hood with the OEM solid mounts?
I love the length of the strut tower bolts!!!, but thats a coilover setup right? hmmmm i wonder how this will work with dspecs struts, sportline springs and the 99 older mounts. Is that spacer, right above the spring hat re-used from the stock front mount? Looks good and thanks for the pictures!
If i get the OEM front/rear solid mounts, do i need anything else for my setup(dspecs struts, sportline springs), like 95-99 strut mounts or 00+ strut mounts??
you cannot use the 2000+ mounts for the fronts. you need the bearing plate and rotational bearing from the 95-99 mounts. I believe OEM has part numbers and even now sells the rotational bearing on his site.
