So essentially, I started hearing this clunking noise when Im parallel parking (when I'm turning the wheels without really rolling), or when I turn the wheel hard while driving. It sounds like it is coming from the front driver side. I figured maybe it was a dead strut causing some noise, and that it would go away when I installed my Sportlines, D-Specs, and OEM strut mounts, but the problem still persists. What could it be? Ball joints? Inner/Outer tie rods? Bushings? Any ideas? Thanks!
How much play do you have in your cv shaft? mines makes a clunk when turning at low speeds,so i think my cv shaft is wore, when i wiggle the shaft itself in and out there quite alot of play.Might wanna check yours, when i get the extra cash i'll replace mine and see if that fixes it.
What is the recommended method of checking play with respect to the CV shaft? Jack up the car and try to move the wheel itself and see how much play comes from there?

If you could wiggle your shaft that much your car either wouldnt be moving very well, the axle would have to be opped out a considerable amount, unless your axle nut is missing.
If you wiggle your shaft around, as say in the direction the wheels, you will hear a clunk sound
