My O.E.M strut mounts also bent after two days, i contact O.E.M he said I would get another set after they were redesigned. When I got them they were not finished, I contacted them and they told me what size tap to use. I contacted them again because as much as I paid for them I figure I would put then in. I was told to send them back, I then asked for a new bushing which also broke. He told me it was not covered, so i said I would send it all back and he could keep it, and was told that he does not give refunds. Here are pictures of the first mounts, bushings, and replacement mounts.

Great, I ordered some two weeks ago and now I'm unsure if I still want them.
Damn, sucks. Thanks for giving feedback guys, you helped make my decision.
WOW! I think this will seal the fate of OEM on here..Hate to say it, but this could be deadly to that company.
NO REFUND. i'll take my business else where!

Dam, you too? I'm waiting on my replacement sliders for my camber plates, they broke about 1-1.5 weeks ago, and am waiting on his backed up machinist to make me a replacement set as he doesn't have any in stock. I'm most likely going to pull my plates lower control arms and install stock control arm and mounts to get me through the winter, If I don't get wind of the slider status by the end of the week. I'm hoping for the best.
Brian, I sent you a replacement set of mounts all you have to do is tap them, I did not want to tap them as I used 2 different styles threads in the mounts. I offered to redo them completely and you said no, what else do you want me to do?

I am confused here, why the " good luck" statement? Did I not take care of you? Things happen, its sucks but they do. I have replaced about 6 sets of these mounts so far loosing all profit on every single replacement set. I am not skipping out or leaving anyone dry. I did not make these to fail like this, its something that I was not even aware of until I got the first pics. Brian, please don't think I am trying to screw you in any way. I have posted in ATk's thread that I am here to make it right. I did send you an unfinished set of mounts, I thought that tapping 6 holes was not that big of a deal. I was in a hurry that day. Send them back and I will have them powder coated and rebuilt for no charge at all

This is not the way a company send out replacement parts...Your product failed and you send out parts for the customer to have to work on, rebuild and then install. WOW! And mark, before you go sending me IM's, and PM's about how I need to stop bad mouthing your company, I and not doing this because it is YOU, I am saying this because it is not good business practice at all. if your product failed, it would be in your best interest to do whatever you had to do to make the customer happy.

Seems like being too busy is NOT good for you Mark. Maybe you might wanna slow down and work 1-2 projects at a time, not 7-8, or maybe hire some help. Pointing out to everyone here that you made no profit on those sets is probably not a good idea. It's gonna make you look like a money hungry person who is doing this for money only, and not for the love of making the parts and bettering the aftermarket support for the platform
Being that I'm an engineer with a real engineering degree, you should consider taking the word "engineering" out of your business name. You are greatly insulting my profession.

just wishing good luck that's all, hoping his ordeal doesn't turn out to be a multi-month ordeal like mine has been. I too was denied a refund that I had asked for instead of getting new mounts. And I am still waiting to hear from you about my hood so no, you haven't taken care of me yet.
You all are correct in saying that my mounts failed, I will be the first to admit that. However, they way that they are designed is not the problem here it was the issue of the water jetting company. With that said have any of the new mounts failed? ATk have your new mounts failed? If thats a no, then it was not the product that failed, but how the product was made that made it fail, if that makes any sense. We are all engineers here, 2 mechanical and one industrial and we have 2 runners. We know what we are doing, sometimes things happen. I have helped every single person out that has had a bad set. I do understand that sending out a set that was not a complete bolt up is a problem, and like I stated before if Brian sends them back I will gladly take care of them. Yes there are few of us here, but we make sure not to rush anything.
ATK, for your mounts I was pretty clean on what I said. I told you to test them out and make sure the new ones dont bend for a couple weeks to a month. I have answered every e-mail or IM you have ever sent me. I am pretty sure that will suffice as being taken care of.
With all this said, I hope all of you can give us a second chance of proving ourselves. We love building parts for these cars, this is just one big problem that we did not see coming.

ok that is fair, so can you tell me what you are going to do about my hood? the new ones have been on for a while and tested out plenty. you haven't provided an answer in my thread.
i think that mark makes a decent product...i don't have his mounts, but i have some of his other products, and i am very happy with them. with so few companies making j parts ,maybe you guys shouldn't run them off...they have helped many ppl on here, and when things go wrong, they have made things right. he's trying to make sure he gets a product that will not fail, so i think he should have credit for that.
OK guys... Calm down... you are both right... but that does not help nor solve the problem... I hate to break this to everyone but GM, FORD, DODGE, HONDA and NISSAN all have recalls... that means that somewhere a part failed on the cars or did not meet the specs for which it was designed... now what they do is FIX the problem and issue a newer better designed part based on the new knowledge... so i am quite sure that Mark needs to redesign the mounts using a thicker base material maybe even twice the thickness to ensure this NEVER happens again...
and as for PROFIT... every company needs to make profit to survive... especially in this economy... thats the business sense... and the number one reason for businesses going under is not for shotty work (not saying OEM is) but for NOT charging the consumer enough money for their products and service... and uh last time i checked Mark is giving everyone incredible deals on all of his products that he sells... so cut him some slack... he is TRYING to fix the one problem that has arisen... and as for anyone that wants to try and tell Mark how to run his business should first cite their business degree... if not, then you have no room to even speak on that topic... Mark is a good guy and he is doing the right thing... FIXING the problem... answering the questions, and trying to help everyone... that is GOOD business sense... i have heard way way way worse stories that deal with all of my friends here in AZ when it comes to shops screwing people over... people losing 3, 4, 8 ,and even 9.5k to companies that just disappear or give you the run around for over 6 months while your car sits in their shop collecting dust... believe me it could be a whole lot worse...
Now with that being said... and since i actually work hand-in-hand with aerospace engineers... make the damn plates thicker 6061 aluminum Mark, and just save yourself and everyone else the headache in the long run.... they should be no less than 3/8" thick... or switch to a stainless steel and run the same thickness... either way... change the design because i am tired of seeing threads about this topic... thanks
...I am the BEST at what I do...
"I guess your right[BlueBoost]. Me and my slow car are failers."
^^^ i second.
Familiar Taste of Poison.
That's what I was thinking...Why not just make them out of a thicker steel plate?
"You can only feed them semen for so long before their legs fall off."
blueboost. the majority of what you said is decent but this " and as for anyone that wants to try and tell Mark how to run his business should first cite their business degree... if not, then you have no room to even speak on that topic... "
im sorry but thast just dumb. i dont need a business degree to know how to handle customers, if you lose your customer you lose your business. if potential customers are complaining about a companies customer service that company better damn well listen or it will be out of business no matter what it charges for its product, bad customer service will kill a company just as quickly as a bad product or a company not being smart enough to charge enough for their product. charging too little is very doubtful to be the leading cause of business closure.

they may be incredible deals, but is the business credible to begin with?
i can almost guarantee over half of companies created, the owner didn't have a business degree. you point is irrelevant.

I've had good assistance with Mark about a few things and he's always come through to help.
He's been quick about helping and to me, that's good customer service.
So I'm here to say that Mark is a busy man and sometimes things slip where they shouldn't and customer feedback is what is needed to get the business going.
We're that feedback but sometimes coming more from anger instead of actually wanting to help the company out.
Anytime I had an issue with any of the products Mark has sold, I didn't bitch about it on the forums. I went straight to Mark and he took care of it.
The feedback I gave Mark about the product will hopefully make the product better for the next person buying.
I understand the concern people have with bad parts but it's more in acting like a customer to get in touch with the company than it is to post it all over the web saying that his parts essentially suck.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
but isn't that's what online forums are for? i wanted the info out there for other people to see so they could check if their mounts were bad too. i personally don't care if his business does bad but to me the customer service could have been better imo in multiple parts of my situation. glad you had a good experience with him. this is a public forum and i was saying how i felt, i'm not here to bash mark. when we talked on the phone he seemed like a great guy. people are just gonna have to decide themselves if about it.
