My 91 Cavalier sat for a bit and now the e-brake isn't fully releasing. I took the rear brakes apart and they look good shoes still have alot of meat. I sprayed everything with lubricant. Anyone have any other suggestions? I was thinking of trying to drive it and see if it disengages? I had a truck get stuck and I just kept driving,stopping, applying the emergency brake, and releasing and it finally let go.

Check to make sure the spring isn't worn out in the ebrake handle.
I doubt this being the case but hey, nothing to lose by looking.
Check all your grease points along the cable and regrease if necessary.
