Hi again Org need some ideas on what is causing my car to sway to the right then left?
When i hit the throttle it sways to the right pretty fast, and will stay going right till i turn the wheel to the left.
And when i let off the throttle the car sways to the left.I just had a alignment done Tuesday(had to replace CV shaft on drivers side).
Now when I'm coasting or lite throttle my car will pull to the left, and i have to keep the steering wheel to the right to keep the car straight.
It didn't do this till last week when i pulled out onto the highway,i was making a left turn under heavy throttle, that's when it started,so i don't know if i pulled something out of whack? but i had an alignment after and its still doing it.
I already rotated the tires and no change, and pretty much everything up front is new parts or a year old,so am i just looking at an alignment or something more?
Sounds like Torque steer to me.
No knocking in the front end,but i did just replace the ca bushings several weeks ago with poly bushings.
Would wore out tranny bushings cause the sway in the steering?cause those bushings are in need of replacement.
I haven't had any problems with the car pulling under braking,so i didn't think a caliper would cause what its doing now.
So if it is torque steer, what can i do to remedy it?i already tightened up my sway bar and greased the ball joints and outer tie rods.
I called the alignment shop and they said swap tires left to right up front and see if that helps.
I hope i can find a fix for this cause its getting annoying.
OK that makes sense, now if it is pulling to the right on acceleration, does that mean my right caliper is sticking?
i'd check the control arm bolts again to make sure they are tight. especially since you just did the bushings.

Ok i will look into the bolts tomorrow and see if any are lose.
OK checked my ca bolts today, and i found the front left ca bolt was lose,i rotated the tires to just to see what happens.
I'll drive it tomorrow to see if anything changes.
OK took her driving today,no more pulling to the right, which is great, its still pulling to the left a Lil bit,so I'll look into the caliper when i get a chance.
Glad to read you found a loose bolt, I had that same issue last year and turned out my control arm bolt snapped! and I eventually got it out whit some creative thinking.
Ouch, how did you manage to get the bolt out?
I found my old thread if you want to kill some time, it has pics as well.
