s. tech vs. pro kit

Im finding it difficult to decide. I have read reviews on both searched here for both. Still cant decide what to do.... Either set will be mounted on HP's, I decided that they would be best for me. I use the car for show, maybe 3-5 race events (auto-x & drag) through the year, and my pleasure. So to pay 2x more for D Specs which I would never adjust would be silly. Both springs have mostly good reviews, The only key differences i see would be the price (s.tech is cheaper), and s. tech is .3 in lower front .1 lower rear.

Im just looking for some input on what way to go. Lets hear some opinions

well since you say you are for showing it... maybe the colors would help you decide. the s-tech's are green if i recall, and i know the pro-kit springs are black.

you can get the rear lower than even that if you pick up a set of OEM solid rear strut mounts. they'll help lower the rear another 3/4" of an inch. as for the fronts, no idea. i guess its up to you, pro-kit looks amazing on a stock bodied car with say a z24 kit on it, it may not look so good if you have a large body kit that looks best closer to the ground.

but really, you'll never notice a .3 difference. plenty of springs SAG more than that over time. its up to you, cheaper and green or bit more spendy and black.

Its a stock body 05 Sunfire. I don't want to go much lower than 1.5 really. I have goldline springs (1.8'' drop) on my 98 Sunfire with a GT kit and it almost looks to low. I am really leaning toward the pro kit yet, only reason I'm debating is price...

ok then, if you dont mind used weight a bit to find a set in the classifieds. they pop up in there from time to time. pretty cheap too.

s.techs are a little softer. Great daily driver spring, but leaves the rear up in the air. They drop the car, and mildly increase the cornering ability, but it's clear that these are designed for looks and comfort over all out performance. Pro-kit is more of a level drop and a bit more of a driver/performance oriented spring, but not harsh by any means.
