im so dum need help

so iv spent 5hrs on how 2 install rear sway bar i have a 03 cavalier and have no stock sway bar.im attemping 2 put the l bracket on.the bolt goes thru the strut mount.took that bolt out now have a strut that i cant get line up again 2 put the new bolt in.what did i do wrong.

Without pics, it's a little difficult to offer any help, but my suggestion would be to unbolt the upper strut mount so that you can maneuver the strut better. Once you get the bolt at the bottom in, bolt the top strut mount back to the car.

Also, do you not have a front sway bar? If so, you're going to have serious oversteer with a rear sway bar and no front.

Getting that strut lined back up was a total pita for me too, damn do those things have some push to them. I took a large prybar under it to pry it back up.
