on hp blues just want to know everyone's opinion on that set up
speed kills save lives drive a honda
Just go get an alignment done after you lower it. Our cars don't enough change in camber to warrant using an adjustment kit.
No need to get those crash bolts to adjust the camber, your struts should have enough adjustment, its not like you drive a VW and want 35* of negative camber.

Same here.
That's how I 'calitbrated' the passenger and driver side up for 0 degree camber so that the camber plates would show true settings when adjusting.
Worked perfectly..

Thank you Dave and JBO!
Please dont use camber plates to adjust your camber, they mess up your king pin angle. Unless you're purposely trying to change your kingpin angle for some reason or another.

WTF are you talking about? Our cars do not have anything remotely resembling a kingpin.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
"The line through the center point of the spring strut support bearing and the control arm
ball joint corresponds to the "kingpin"."
On a macpherson strut car is basically the angle of the strut inward since our upper control arm is the strut and thus the point where the strut connects to the upright is also the upper ball joint for the sake of simplified suspension calculations. Unless I'm being retarded at the momement because I wrote a 115 page manufacturing paper yesterday and only have 2 hours of sleep.

I can picture the reference line you are talking about and can understand the ill effects on vehicles that actually have kingpins. But with our simple suspensions it doesnt really affect anything.

Changing the king pin angle by using camber plates is no different than using a different offset wheel.
What's the difference?
I'm sure the offset on my Rota rims will benefit any king pin angle deficit that may occur. Again, unless I'm running severe negative camber to the car, it's not going to make a difference.

KPI = SAI
The two terms are interchangeable.
