Hey Guys,
I've had my rear sway bar on for almost 2 years and the car sees a couple hundred miles a year. What I am trying to find is this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250798504361&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
I cannot use my one set of U-Bolt or my sway bar bushing and clamp it on the sway bar over the rear beam unless I have this retainer as the nuts won't hold the sway bar bushing in place. I have the one set on the right side of my sway bar, I need one to hold the sway bar on the left side now. All endlinks are on.
The U-Bolt fits through this bushing... see
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=sway+bar+bushing&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=15035023433447192873&sa=X&ei=8X-sTfSLKOfp0gHV7N35CA&ved=0CHUQ8gIwAQ# and the retainer sits on top of this bushing.
To all you guys with sway bar kits, you know what I mean. I have found WHITELINE U BOLT Universal Kit, part # KU04 but I dont want to spend $50 bucks on a U-Bolt when all I need is the retainer bar. Ace Hardware doesn't sell anything like the retainer. I have gone to Advanced Auto Parts and they sell leaf spring U-Bolts - 3 inch wide is the biggest. The retainer that comes in this kit isn't long enough. I need one that is approx 5 inches long to fit over my sway bar bushing.
I have an EIBACH Sway Bar Kit. The retainer never was supplied. EIBACH doesn't sell parts and the local guys that do aren't gong to order the retainer as I cant get anywhere with them on the phone. Might have to go in the store. Its part # UB0222 from Eibach.
So, lol... Where can I find this retainer for my 22mm sway bar? I am thinking of going to a metal fabricator and have them make me one. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

There's a kit on jegs for that bar has all new bushings and bolts pretty much everything except the bar the part number is on here somewere ill post it when I get home.I think it was 40bucks
Okay.. Don't know why I didn't think this before. I just called Eibach again. This time I spoke with someone with more knowledge. They recommended I call SUMMIT. I did. They don't have the part # in their system, but they will call EIBACH, check on availability and pricing, call me back and I can place a special order. Because I do not have a receipt for my sway bar kit, I have to go through a "dealer" for parts, otherwise Eibach would send it to me directly. FYI. I think I solved my own problem.

Ricardo, I appreciate your information. I will look into it. Thanks!

I had the same thing happen, i just went and got a piece of steel from HD and used the other side as a guide. one cut and two holes to drill. paint it and your done.
Basically you need a flat piece of steel with two holes drilled in it?
The run around seems like more of a hassle than making it. There is probably less than 10 minutes total time to cut, drill and install.
I bet you will spend more time than that on the phone waiting to talk to someone.
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
lol..I know it sounds silly. Finding that piece of steel was a pain. Anyway, I did pay 7 dollars for that piece from Eibach. Summit is sending it to me now. Okay, 12 $ with shipping. IT will be the exact same bar, color etc to match.

Addco hooked me up with hardware for free, called them directly. I was looking to buy but they offered warranty replacment. So you might call eibach directly, maybe you can get the same.
That's what I did. I actually called SUMMIT and they didn't have the EIBACH part number in their system (UB0222 for the retainer). They added it and called EIBACH to special order it. Cost me 12 bucks shipped. Got it yesterday and its installed. The metal bar looks just like the other one, gold in color. Finally got it resolved. Thanks for the advice though you guys.
