First post, been lurking on the forums for a bit couldn't find a thread specifically about these two and which is better(if overlooked my apologies). I plan on upgrading my suspension system before I begin to really get going on Shirleys modifictions. My question is which kit do you guys who have had more experience with coilovers suggest?

Or would a different brand altogether be best? Such a kyb, kw, koni, sensen with lowering springs etc. I plan on having an endgame of 600-650hp but for the now I want ones which would offer the best handling, longevity and performance.
Shirley is a 97 ls auto Fyi.
Tein Super Street or BC Racing. Tein Basics are ok, but they are nonadjustable and require stock mounts(which are notorious for failing).
BC Coilovers are far and away the best readily available option for these cars imo. They come with solid mounts/camber plates in the front and offer a swift spring (some of the best springs out there) upgrade directly through them. They also have better ride height adjustment than other setups that rely on the lower perch for that.

I'm not sure on their different product lines so I would contact BC directly and tell them what you want.
Another good option are the Tein SS coilovers, which is what I'm running. They have most of the options that BC coilovers have (adjustable dampening, adjustable preload[kinda], spring options, solid mounts[SS only not basics], front camber plates) but they DO NOT have the tube design that BC's have for independent height adjustment. It's complicated but to raise the Teins you have to jack the lower spring perch up which causes more preload on the spring. Lowering takes pretty much all preload away. BC's allow you to set your preload, then there is another adjustment at the bottom of the shock for height. One advantage the Tein SS's have is that they come with solid mounts on all 4 corners. BC only comes with solid front mounts.

I have no experience with the tokico setup. I don't know many builds that used their coilover system. I did run their d-spec struts for some time and really liked them, but that's apples to oranges.

Okay sounds like BC is the better option, I'll definitely look into them thanks guys
