Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could swap the Brembo breaks off a cobalt ss to a cavalier and if so, what components would I need?
I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier (stock).
why? the
NWF is more then you'd need and way cheaper
I miss my Cavalier, even if it made 100 hp on a cold day and had more suspension then it deserved.
Im actually about to swap in the cobalt ss brembo brakes on my 04 sunfire. Things that need to be done
And need.
*cobalt/hhr front knuckles.
*brembo calipers
*LSJ hubs (redrill for 5x114.3 for wheel options)
* pads for brembo calipers
*caliper to knuckle bolts from CED
*hub shims for brembo swap from CED
*Cobalt/hhr ball joints
Brembo swap rotors.(redrill to match new bolt pattern)
** if you have BCracing coilovers just get a set of cobalt lower strut mounts.
*if not buy cobalt struts and put jbody upper strut mounts on them.
***you will need to modify the jbody lower control arms by welding up the original holes for the ball joints then drill holes for the cobalt/hhr ball joints
***you will need to also grind the cobalt ball joint plate down just a little making it just thin enough to slide into the jbody control arms.

Thank you for the detailed info. I'll share this with a friend mechanic. We'll work on this Sunfire project once we finished installing the suspension and
jeep wheels on the Wrangler this weekend.
