i hear a banging noise when i drive from my front suspension.. and whenever i hit a bump it rattles.... i can also move my front right wheel and hear a clanking noise .... help
is ur suspension still stock? or have you done something to it?
its stock.... its a 99 cavalier rally sport
what does it do when your driving and noise's while turning??
no a noise while hitting bumps or potholes.... its a banging noise... and it not the tie rod ... or control arm or ball joint... it might be the strut or the wheel bearing i think.. but i dont know... help??
strut...if it were a wheel bearing it would do it all the time, or when turning one direction or the other, not just when you hit a bump..my mothers honda accord had a wheel bearing go bad, and it would vibrate and make funky noises when the wheel was straight or turned one way, but when you turn it the opposite way all was quiet.. doubt your problem is a wheel bearing, but more a broken strut or strut mount/bearing..

I would say strut or strut mount.
how would i be able to check the strut mount?
take the strut out of the car and look at the mount...only way to tell
