Recently i noticed when I turn my steering wheel while say driving into a parking spot, I feel something popping in the steering wheel.
I'm not sure what it could be. I have the Prostreet setup and my car is not slammed at all so I don't think its my CV joints but I could be wrong.
Any idea's?? Is there anything I should take a serious look at?
Thanks in advance
Bushings possibly? I am actually interested in hearing someone's answer to this? On my SVX, it made those popping noises and it turned out to be the bushings for the front arms.
I'll have a sig someday....................
Yea I'm starting to have the same thing...a kind of popping noise when you turn the steering wheel...I'm only getting it on the left side...
Doesn't really sound like a bad strut mount...I'll have to get under there at some point and check...

Have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you get down and look inside the well. See if the spring is trying to turn and popping. If so then its the upper mounts.
I mean thats pretty easy to look for so at least try that first.
I am all that is man
Cool...I'll try that on the weekend....

is the plastic inside your wheel well secured properly?
i had a popping noise from the front end
and thats all it was thankfully
I'm encountering the same prolem. When I'm driving slowly and turn the wheel, I get this popping/clunk. but when the car's jacked up, and I'm under it while the wheel's being turned, nothing looks out of place or damaged. BUT when I pop the hood and the car's back on the ground, and the wheels get turned, i get the noise louder from the upper strut mount on my LH side (where the noise is coming from). I phone napa for a new mount, and the mount cannot be purchase, just the bearing inside the upper strut mount. I picked one up this morning, and after work I'll be changing this Bearing. I'll keep u posted, and let you know if it fixes the problem of this mysterious PoPpInG
Just wondering if the bearing fixed the problem?
