Front anti sway bar install, help...
Wednesday, April 20, 2005 5:42 PM
...my car didn't come with a front anti sway bar so I've picked up an '02 Z24 bar, new links etc and I'm not really sure about dropping the subframe to install it. Is there a link to a site or info how to do this, or can somebody give me some advice. Thanks.

Clicky!

this pretty much covers the install pretty dang well. I'll be doing my front and rear Eibach kit this weekend and maybe i'll do my drop once i get ahold of some new strut mounts.

Thanks for the link and thanks to Little Bill for going to the trouble of documenting his install. That's more help than I expected!

I have done this. just make sure you have a jack to support the subframe and you will have no probs.

my old car (99 fire) didnt come with any sway bars. i added a front bar from an 02 ls sport, and a rk rear bar. made a huge difference, even with the stock springs. in my experience suspension mods seem to make the biggest difference in the charater of J's. engine bolt-one are ok...but seem to have a minimal effect...suspension makes the car much more fun to drive overall.

Warren, I hope the install goes/went well.. You could have just dropped by the shop again and I would have walked you through it but pictures are worth a thousand words i suppose

Good luck!
