I'm thinking of ditching the air ride.......
Saturday, April 23, 2005 5:50 AM
Just as the title states, I'm thinking about getting rid of the air ride for some sportlines and tokico d-specs. I'm gonna be building a motor for some serious boost at the end of the summer....Even though I'm building a show car, I'm still gonna be driving this car everyday except in the winter time...

I know its my choice obviously....BUT what do you all think about this? I'm gonna be doing all of the other nessacary suspension mods with it....

Your car looks sweet when its layed out, but for daily driving the springs would probably be a better choice.

The air ride is what makes your car, it just wouldn't be the same

I thought air ride made it easier for the daily driver to get over curbs, speed bumps, etc. I was thinking about getting air ride for those exact reasons. I cringe at even pulling up into my driveway. Besides, my favorite local beer drive thru has a huge sloping curb.

Just anxious to get comments from bagged daily drivers before I drop 3 grand + to have them professionaly installed. Especially when there are a few members who want to get rid of them.

I never have had a prob with them on my daily driver......I still love air ride but it just wont be the same when I go to the performance side of this world.....

If i had another car, I'd bag it....

alright i was just wondering. like cc said, i never had a problem w/ mine. only broke one fitting that took 30 seconds to replace. it didnt let all the air out, it was just leaking from the fitting. dont have them professional installed. easystreet kit is very easy to install. i had no clue about air suspensions when i bought my easystreet kit. just search on here and you'll find a lot of info. its really easy to do. time consuming but easy. me and my buddies got mine done in 1 day but it took 15 hours. as i said, it was all our first times with air suspension.

I appreciate the info. The local shop is an authorized dealer / installer for EasyStreetAirRide. The complete package includes warranty for parts and installation. I have been looking over the install manual and combing this site for info on whether or not I should install this. I think I just need to flip a coin to decide. As you can tell, I am indecisive and impatient. I will try to work on that also. Thank you again for the info.
btw- bc and cc your cars are f-in beautiful!

If you are going for performance, ... it would be nice to have it all,... but if you need some cash to fund your turbo, I would say leave the air ride world...

I am thinking turbo as well... but I will see if I can accomodate air ride into the mix. Phat chance tho...

(Oh, and I still love air ride)

ya as far as i know air ride is actually supposed to increase handling and such, now i have not experimented with mine yet in this aspect, but i love the air ride, at times it can be a pain but i dont think i would trade it for any other suspension, it makes cars look sooo sweet, later

pic coming soon
