Quick Alignment Question
Monday, April 25, 2005 6:32 PM
I searched a little and didn't find the answer...

Just a quick question: On a 1999 Z24, can the rear alignment be adjusted? I want to book an alignment tomorrow and need to know if I should go to a place that does all 4 wheels or if it's just the front.

Thanks in advance

Well, yes and no. There is no factory adjustment. You can, however, get some shims installed that go between the beam axle and the bearings that can give a small amount of camber and/or toe. Any good shop should be able to do this but it costs extra on top of the aligment. If you are looking for different specs than stock let them know (obviously) so they can change the specs in the computer (the computer shows how to cut and install the shim as needed) Good luck.
