I just put in a brand new set of Monroe Sensitraks last night and 3 out of 4 worked perfectly, however, the rear drivers side strut is seized or something. When I have the car jacked, the strut fully extends, let the car down it sits at normal ride height but then when you simulate a bump ( push down on the quarter panal ) the strut compresses and will not return back to standard ride height. I keeps that spring compressed.
The spring \ strut is not rubbing or catching on anything, so I am not sure what the deal is.
Any ideas as to what might have happened?
Defective strut?
Worn out spring?
i dont think it has anything to do w/ the spring. if the strut isnt coming back up there is something wrong w/ the strut itself. call monroe and talk to them about it. tell them you got them new and the one strut does not work properly.
Defective strut.
but man....... That's Messed Up!
