I was trying to install the RKSport rear strut tower brace in my 1999 Z24. There seems to be an issue with the plate for the driver's side not fitting... It hits a sheet metal edge and I can't get it to fully center and seat on the strut tower. I can remove a small part of this sheetmetal to get it to fit, but I never heard anyone here complain about this before - so I'm wondering if I might have a defective plate (or car?).

Is this a normal issue with installing this or am I the only one?

might have the plates facing the wrong way... i;ve seen it happen before.

Get out the Big f'n hammer!!

Actually... a small hammer might fit.. it's pretty tight in there, eh? I had some alignment issues with mine at first too... once i got the nuts on the bolts it all lined up and held tight... I think the metal just bent itself outta the way.


One of these days... gotta get off my arse and try it on the 'vert... see if it fits or not
