this is a continuation from
this post.
I've had these on for about 3 weeks i think... last weekend i decided to push the limits of the suspension in some corners that i knew were clear for me to test. mainly industrial areas and this was on sunday.
pretty much what i can say is that these shocks are worth the money for what you get out of them. The car was great accelerating in the corners. barely any understeer. Btw... no rear sway bar... yet
i spent about 3 hrs and 10-15 areas with great corners for testing. each adjustment was a difference in performance.
i'll post some pic on the photo forum soon of how the car sits.
later
whats tires you runnin?
still at 5 rear 4 front? stiffer rear usually decreases understeer.
My tires are the Falken GBR 451 215/45/R17 daily tire press 44 front 40 rear. the trie is rated at 51psi.
my daily setting is 3 front 4 rear.. and believe me thats pretty good!
but when i did the "testing" i found that 7 rear and 5 front was pretty tight for corners.... i know that this setting will change for me after the rear sway bar and subframe are installed
may 29th will be the first summer solo event... i'll play with some settings there too
Sounds pretty good, do you allways have your pressure that high? I noticed one thing when I first got my Z24, There was alot of hear say when it comes to modifiying the suspension on these cars. I originally baught my rear sway bar only because someone said our cars understeer alot when I honestly didn't notice a change my car handled really nicly before I put the sway bar on and it seemed to be the same after, maybe it was my driving style that helped reduce understeering. Anyways I may be getting some prokit springs myself so hopefully this will be a noticable inprovement.
Ohya Adjustable shocks are awesome aren't they, I am glad I waited a year ago instead of buying Koni reds.

driving style has allot to do with shock settings as well as tire pressures and tires
as far as tire pressures i used to run my rsa's at 40 front and rear but that was with stock springs and now i cant even stand to drive on the street with azenis over 30 i can feel the tar strips
but the thing is on rails
what are you alignment settings?
see ya!

when i put my rear sway bar on, I DEFINITELY felt a difference in my car. the only way i can describe it is that before i would feel the back lean in corners, where as with the swaybar if felt like it was still upright and not leaning as much.

same here, and i;ve definately went through a few bars so far.
soloZ : well at first i was at 40 front and 36 rear... i wanted to try the higher psi and see if there was any difference in wear.... so far its pretty even. braking and accel are pretty much the same... but i notice the biggest dif in highway / freeway fuel economy.
Novaracer : i can't recall exactly what they did.. i told them that i race solo2 and that its my daily... its something like .25 camber and .25 toe in front and almost the same in the rear... i'll ask what the exacts are on tuesday... monday is a holiday for us
i'm looking to get an Addco rear sway bar... i found that most people were happy with it.
also i'm looking to get a "h" subframe support for the front
