Well, my front end lately has been clunking/popping especially when accelerating. It also rattles a bit when I go over small bumps (I think it may just be the hubcaps though.
The only thing I have done suspension wise as of right now are control arm bushings. I fear that I may have sliced into the boot of the ball joint when taking off the control arm. Would this cause any of these symptoms?
I do plan on doing a few things to my suspension in the upcoming weeks (Sportlines, Konis, Endlink bushings, Subframe brace) so, if I am doing all that, what else should I look for to solve this clunking problem?
Thanks for the help in advance
Could be the balljoint, but I doubt it. Sounds more like a bearing or CV joint. Could be a strut mount.
Jack it up, grab the wheel and give it a good shake. What moves?
If you think it's the hub cap, take it off, try it out.
