i was lookn on ebay for some new strut/shocks...cuz usually i get parts cheaper...but i saw some Tokico HP brand...i am just asking oppinon...are these any good? cuz i was going to go with the KYB AGX..cuz the tech at work that is gonna install all this stuff for me said these were good for the price...but im just askin second opinion.
Thanx in advanced
two of my friends have tokico blues (hp) and they worked great. one of them have the hps on his 2002 cavi with eibach pro-kit and it handles pretty awsome so i would say that is a good choice but there is always something better out there.

basically stock oem replacements.... same level as kyb gr2....
their illuminas or d spec is on the same level as the agx....
if you have the choice, get agx.... they are adjustable, hp isnt.
ok ill go with the agx then thanx guys
what springs will these use?
my view....should be ok, but double check with agx on the rear springs since they are listed at 1.7...
The AGX will be fine. The spring rate is still low enough that it wont do damage. It's almost always the fronts that have issues, mostly from the weight of the engine.
If you're not wary about the spring rate, call and ask the manufacturer. They will know the rate. If it's progressive ask for the rate at ride height.
AGX: Front rates up to ~200 are fine; rear up to ~150 lbs/in
GR2: Fron rates up to ~150 are ok; rear up to ~100 lbs/in
This is all from memory, so take it with a grain of salt.

the heaviest engine in a third gen, a 2.4L, is close to 50-60 lbs heavier than the lighter two being the ohv and the ecotec.
50-60 lbs cant be all that much a difference. do keep in mind chassies are not all perfect and things do take time to settle in.
but also to keep in mind, pro kits were made with performance in mind.... not so much looks.
