ok so last night i was driving (going around 60) and i looked down for a sec. (dumbass mistake) and the car in front of me slammed on their brakes so my only way to get out of the way was to get into the next lane, so i cut it real hard and it got out of control, i was up on 2 wheels twice, and i eventually slide into a ditch but i slide sideways so my rear left tire got knocked off the rim and i thought that was it so i just changed my tire and went to tire discounters today that they put my tire back on my rim and they noticed that my wheel was bent inward and they looked at it and said my rear axel was bent and maybe my strut was too and they were wanting $650 to get a new axel and labor and maybe an extra $200 for all the struts to be replaced if its bent. so i thought that was too much so i called my friend to see if maybe he could replace it but we looked at it and couldnt see exactually where it was bent. so i wanted to see if any of you guys could tell me where to get it for cheaper or where to get a new axel and if you could see (in the pic) where its bent (sorry bout the bad pics tho, takin with a camera phone). thanks

Can't see the pics. Axle probably is bent.
Go get an axle out of a yard.
Car-Part.com
1. Take wheels off.
2. Take brake/hub assemblies off.
3. Disconnect struts from axle, one bolt each at bottom.
4. Disconnect axle from body.
5. Put "new" axle back in.
6. Check struts, replace if bad (see other posts on replacement). Reconnect struts.
7. Put brake/hub assembly back on.
8. Put wheels back on.
Make sure you have the "new" axle before you start. Also plan on running to a parts place (Auto-Zone, Napa, etc); so do it during hours they are open.
A newbie could do it in 8 hours with the right tools, no problem. I could do it in less than 2 (if I had all the new part I need), just to give you an idea.
If you need more detailed info I highly recommend a Haynes #28322 or Chilton #38016 book.
How far is Amelia from Parkersburg, WV? (P'burg is 10 mins south of Marietta, OH)
If its not too far, maybe you can just pay me to do it for you a lot cheaper than the quote you have.
Neutiquam erro.
along way, prolly like 4-5 hours, thanks tho
I bent the back axle also. Way worse than you did. The back tire was krinckled under the car. Took like 30 mins to install a new one from the yard. Disconnect the brake lines and its four bolts.

sorry man, but i call
.
There's no way you changed that rearend in 30 mins.
It took me a couple hours, and that was with all the right tools and an extra pair of hands.

i was wonderin, if the axel is bent could you just hit back straight, or is it just @!#$ once its bent
Ouch, come to think of it, i had my car skip sideways like that once right after i got my car washed, the old crappy tires were wet, and i lost traction, and she skipped, but i dont think anything broke, best of luck to you repairing it though sad to hear it happened.
I bent my rear end messing around in a parking lot when i got my cav. i bent it right in the middle when i smacked into a curb at 25 mph. It dogwalked pretty bad. Any who i went ot local yard and picked up a rearend out of a 95 sunfire gt. took me and a friend 5 hours to swap out with air tools. I hated the ebrake the most. otherwise it was relitivly easy. that was about 2 years ago almost to the day. lol weird.
