i'm trying to find out if my 1999 Z24 in Europe has a EGR or not, i have had 1 person tell me they have seen a 99 with a EGR.....I need to buy engine parts for it and i wanna be sure....I called my cousin in Europe and he checked the door sticker and it says 10/98.......If anyone knows or if you can check your 99 sticker for me, it would help me out a lot. i have the VIN # too if that helps......the car was made in Mexico if that makes a difference.

I ordered my 99 in either July or August of 98 and I don't have an EGR. My Cav was made in Lordstown

another option you might do , is take the VIN # and call a chevy dealer and talk to the parts counter tell them your situation , and give them the VIN and have them look up the options for it , and see if it had egr
no such thing as early or late 99. if the date says 06-98 then it can be a 98 or a 99, anything above the 06 and its a 99 (again from 07-98 to 06-99 = 1999 model year) anything below (07-1997 to 06-1998 = a 1998 model year)

Hey Justin, thanks for the info, but i gotta ask, are you 110% sure???? I only ask cause i'm building a non-egr motor and shipping it overseas....it would suck if it arrives there and the car is equpped with a EGR.....I went to a few parts stores today and i told them it was a 99 Z24 and they asked if it had a egr or if it was a Non-EGR...And for some reason he said the Non-EGR intake gasket or Exhaut gasket (forgot which one he said) was discontinued...

150% sure.... but it wouldnt be the first time i've seen an auto-maker do something funkey like that (there are always the freaks in a car line)
