sorry if i posted this in the wrong area but i wasnt sure where to put this, well i have a 1997 cavalier rs and i ordered a wai for it and when i go to install it i need to take the stock air box out which the clutch fluid container is connected to, what has everyone do hold the container up after removing stock air box.thanks for any help in advance.
there was a little metal bracket for god knows what back twords the firewall..i drilled through it and ran a bolt ans screw through it...
i have heard alot of people used zip ties.
New sig in the works
i used zip ties. just run then through the hook part on the cluch container and then through that bracket works very well.
It wouldnt be any fun if it was easy.
I made a little bracket, 2 zap straps....Fits good looks great too...
i used zip ties then finnally bought aem's clutch bracket holder that hooks to the hoe on the plate in the back of the engine(the big hole that your stock air box uses to hold it in place at the back) and it looks nice. only prob is the clutch line is to long now so i am gonna cut it to lenthso my resivoir sits level.
but most any place that sells aem sells that bracket also
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.
*sits and thinks about how much easier zip ties would have been*
i zip tied it to the brake lines
i just left that part of the airbox, and cut out an area for teh filter to fit in.
yup i did the same thing so much easier lol
i also have the aem bracket.
when i got my rk intake they gave me 2 screws and 2 straps said to screw it to the firewall.
it looks so much better on the bracket.
you have to stand for something, or you're bound to fall for anything
Check this out:
AEM Clutch Fluid Bracket
I have it---it's functional, and looks a lot better than having it clipped or zip tied somewhere. best $21.95 I have spent yet.
Matter of fact, here is a pic of it installed:
We have the bracket also and it is in stock.
