I saw what looked like one on the back next to the oil filter. It had three wires from it.
My question is....IF it is the sending unit which wire is the one where the reading comes from?

It's really not hard to at a sensor. Just buy a "T" fitting from the local auto parts store (you'll probably have to buy a couple of adapters because of the whole metric/ american systems thing) and add in a sensor (which should come with a gauge that you buy) Took me a couple hours to install one on my Eco. You just need to know where the switch is located.

You don't need a T fitting to put on a sending unit for the 2200. A few inches above the oil filter is an oil plug in the block that can be removed with a 1/4" drive rachet. Just stick the rachet right into the plug and it will come out. I have an Autometer SportComp electronic oil pressure gauge that came with the sending unit. It also came with an 1/8" to 1/4" npt thread adapter, which is what matches where the oil plug comes out. This way you don't need to mess with the stock pressure switch. This unused port on the 2200 is probably an oil port that is used on the 2200 in S10 models.
