My 2003 cav. is makinga weird sucking noise underhood when it come down from a rev and its not the air intake, Does any1 know what it could be?
air in the intake pipe will make a similar noise. example: inbetween shifts.............. thats about all i can think of.

Does it sound like its coming from the power steering area? I have the same noise and i have no clue what it is either.
yea its by the powersteering res. I checked it out today in the daylight and i didnt see any hoses loose or broke, I thought it was poss a vac leak

its normal
That makes me feel better atleast.
yeah every one i know with an eco hears that from the same thing
well i hate to say htis but not on mine ...although i do only have 36000 miles on it
^^^ what do you mean "only"
both of mine are under 25K
i didnt knw if that had ne thing to do w the noise or not,,,so thats y i put that up their
could be the evap system solenoid, mine clicks and makes vacuum sucking noises. it annoyed the heck out of me until i got in there with a stethoscope and pinpointed it.
i have the same damn problem. another thing i have is my fluid is milky. what causes that? i just swapped subframes and now it shows up. blah

do you ever notice that the ones who talk the loudest have the least to talk about?
It's the value of the car decreasing.... lol j/k
Mine has done it since 10k miles (when I bought it). I am thinking my girls might actually "not" be doing it. Hers has 70k, but is an automatic.
Also, mine makes a weird supercharger sound when it accerlerates occasionally. I cannot find it. Sounds like it comes from the driver side, so that kinda rules out the timing chain. It is odd. No, I don't have a charger, but it sounds just like the eaton on my friends GTP.

not sure what your talking about, I've got 78K, but since I added the cold air I get a air whooshing noise when I turn the car off

This is not a swoosh. It sounds exatly like you pulled a vaccum line off the car. I have a stock airbox, i have ran CAI in teh past, it is a completly different sound.
