eco swapped guys.......
Saturday, April 19, 2008 1:28 PM
I plan on swapping in an eco once I get back from my training that I have to go do down in may. But I just wanted to know......what the total price it cost you to swap in your eco. Labor, motor price, etc etc....everything. I need to try and get my money set aside for the swap, and want to have it all. Thanks!

Its going to vary big time...i say if you have a 2k up you should be able to do it for under 1g but if you have a pre 2k then the cost will go up alot....unless you get a good deal n a complete wreck..

are you sure man?

2003-2005 Saturn L-Series (high output) The 2003 Saturn L-Series has a high output version with higher (10:1) compression and more aggressive camshaft. The Malibu and Saturn versions also use return-less fuel injection

Pre- 00 eco swap...

Donor Car- Totaled 4 -door automatic 40k miles - $1,165
Supplied the following
* Ecotec motor
* 4t40e w/ cv shafts - Bartered with Bubba for F23 getrag and some other manual swap parts
* Dash harness
* Dash metal support bar
* Full dash itself and radio bezel
* Body harness
* Center console & e-brake
* Non-abs brake booster w/ MC and proportioning valve.
* Brake lines and fuel lines

What i've had to still buy - Mind you i bought all aftermarket where i could.

*Griffin Radiator - $430
*Spal Fan - $150
* Short throw shifter $150
* RKsport upper mount - $118
* Upper and lower rad hose assembly - $20
* Ecotec Manual engine harness - $250 ( no abs nor cruise this was a PITA to find)
* PCM - $100
* GM and TTR frame rail F23 mounts - $100
* Plastic Gas tank - $80

$2563 its costed me to get my car running and all the parts to get it to run. In reality is would have only costed the price of the donor car plus $300. But i'm going all out for a 5-speed swap with the GM supercharger and High end Clutch. So reality cost its going to cost me around $6,000+ range.

Yes in 2002 the l61 in the saturns had 135 crank hp with 9.5:1 cr

The motor your referring to is the one in your cav 10:1 cr.
