Does anyone know how many 02 LS Sports/Z24's were made with the ecotec? They seems to be pretty rare around this area and I would like to know how many were made?

techncaly if it was a LS Sport/Z24 sold in the US it only came with a 2.4L. My 02 is a LS Sport with the Z24 package (yeah I know it sounds odd). They were produced for the first half of the years production run and then GM switched to the LS Sport only, with the 2.2L Eco. Now the Z24 option remained until the end of production (well I think till the end) in Canada even though the 2.4L was no longer used.

^^ is correct it was always called a Z24 here in Canada

I've never seen published numbers of the different models past 1994... sorry dude. I've asked GM and received some numbers, but nothing that specific. I could tell you how many Cavaliers vs Sunfires per year, but that's pretty much it.
