This is on a 98 Z24. The check engine light has been coming on, but during driving it will go off in the evening when its cooler out. Everytime I take it to get scanned to pull the code it always shuts off since the only time I have is in the evening. Has anyone had this issue? Any ideas on what might be throwing the code?
This only started happening after I did a Fuel System Cleaner (Gum Out)

i had a problem very similar to that with my 04, except in my case it was the yellow service light that was coming on it would come on as soon as i would shut the car off the light was gone as if the computer reset itself or something. Awhile later it came back on again same thing as soon as i shut the car if i started it right up again the light was gone haven't seen the light come on since. But i bet there's still a code in there somewhere or the light would never have come on at all, thing i wonder is if there was a code it was throwing why they didn't catch it when they changed my oil etc. Unless techs aren't gonna look for that kinda stuff unless you specifically mention it.
