ok so here is my issue, I drive the car and it shifts normal no problem but as i get to a red light if you hold the clutch in for a long period of time and its time to release the clutch it will either stay stuck or the car will start moving with the clutch in or i just barely let off the pedal and it takes of? i have no leaks anywhere, and thinking it might be the slave! i think its not the clutch because when driving it shifts so smooth, also problem gets worse when you turn on ac!!
@!#$ Hondas!!
It's something to do with the slave cylinder/clutch line and a loss of pressure for sure.... is the fluid level OK?
yeah its ok but now its getting worse it gets stuck in reverse
@!#$ Hondas!!
ok update on prob, tried to bleed it got worse pedal stayed stuck down, dumped out all of the old fluid out of the container and filled it up with fresh fluid and it fixed the problem, hopefully it stays that way
@!#$ Hondas!!
if it doesnt then its more than likely your slave cylinder, i just had mine go on my eco 2 weeks ago
i had similiar problem when i had my 2.2 sfi motor. i did all the bleeding and trouble shooting everyone told me to do first. did all that and it just seemed to get worse and just get stuck to the floor and i couldnt shift out of gear or anything until i pulled the clutch pedal back up. i got a new slave cylinder at our local gm store. got slave cylinder and master cylinder all for less than $65 brand new with warranty. fixed my problems. hope this helps.
I had mine do this twice when I first bought my car in 2003. It was the mater cylinder the first time, then the slave cylinder the second time, within 2 weeks of have the car. The clutch would stay pressed down to the floor. I was soo pissed, thank god for warranty. It was my first manual tranny car, I blame it on my learning to use a clutch. Ever since then, no probs. look into the master and slave cylinders... btw the dealership kept my car for 3 weeks the first time claiming they didnt know what the problem was... the second 4 days because i asked for a rental car.... exspensed under gm's extended warrenty.... pretty interesting if you ask me.
