Just use 00+ wiring harness for the V6 and splice into the 2.2 harness. No need to piggyback pcms. I have a 96 Cavalier I swapped a 3400 in to it and wired everything to the 34 pcm. Use all the same sensors that come with the V6.

Use 2000+ Engine Harness Spliced with V6 Harness and Use 2000+ Interior Harness Cluster/Bcm (SIR Module if you want AirBags to work)

I also recommend using DHP instead of HPT to tune as then you can flash with any Vin Number this way you can have SIR.

if u have to use a 2000+ interiorharness it may be easier to just piggy back. to swap to the 2000+ cluster is diffrent sensor in the tank 4 fuel level and alotta work.

Takes a few hours to re/re dash, I recommend it as everything talks friendly on the Dataline, In my opinion, if you are doing the work for a swap, a few extra hours to do it right is worth it.

Im using an Impala pcm on my 96. Engine harness is from a 2001 Impala spliced into my 96 2.2 harness. Just reading the pin outs. I got everything to work on mine just wired into the 3x00. Just to a little reading and thinking.
