I currently have a 97 cavalier z24 and the body is rusting up and transmission is about to go but the engine is rebuilt, and i was looking online and saw 2001 cavalier z24 with good body and working transmission but his engine is blown. has anyone ever put an older LD9 into a newer LD9??? and is it possible. your input would be appreciated.

It can be done. Your engine will need an EGR block off plate.
I believe there is some small difference with the knock sensor being a different size/thread/something... But dont let that little thing stop you.
