2.4 engine harness help asap

Hey guys, unsure on some of the pre 2000 Stuff. I'm going to the yard 1st thing in the am to pull a engine harness for a buddy to do a 2.4 swap in his 99. Dose the engine harness have to be from a 99 or can it be 96-99? only think i can think to be possibly different is the evap shiz being out back?
