does anybody know how to swap the alternator..... I can't get to the bolts on the underside of it
Take out the fender liner and do it from the side (wheel well) and underneath. It's not hard, done it a few times.
Focus....breathe....dive in!
its the worst alternator of all j bodys to change 2.2ohv is the easiest

Even though its the "worst" I still wouldn't call it a difficult job. Using a Jack and jackstand, 3/8" breaker bar, and a ratchetwrench, I can have one off in less than ten minutes.
